As temperatures drop, FUSION remains committed to ensuring that no one in our community is left out in the cold. In partnership with the City of Federal Way, we are opening our severe weather shelter to provide a warm, safe space for individuals and families in need.
Located at the Pete Andersen FUSION Family Center, the shelter will operate overnight from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. on designated severe weather nights. While our facility typically serves families experiencing homelessness, during extreme conditions, we extend our services to all individuals as space allows. Guests will be provided with water and snacks, and check-in is available until 10 p.m.
As a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families facing housing insecurity, we understand that severe weather presents an even greater challenge for those without stable shelter. Our team is working alongside community partners to ensure that those who need assistance can find warmth and relief during this time.
For more information about our shelter services or other local resources, visit King County Regional Homelessness Authority or contact the City of Federal Way. Together, we can help protect our most vulnerable neighbors from the harsh winter weather.
