Hello Friends of FUSION,
As June is upon us and daylight is longer, I am reflecting on these last few months and the challenges and successes we have had as an organization. We have so many things to be grateful for and I would like to share a few of them with you.
Our wonderful and flexible Volunteers and Staff have stayed the course, working diligently behind the scenes to continue FUSION operations without skipping a beat. Although the FUSION Décor Boutique was closed for three months, our FUSION families continue to make progress, are safe and healthy, and our transitional housing program continues to thrive.
Our generous FUSION Sponsors and Supporters have continued to step up and give generously during this time to help our mission to provide housing and support to families experiencing homelessness in our community so they will have a safe, secure environment as they work toward self-sufficiency.
FUSION’s talented Board of Directors has continued to help guide and navigate FUSION through these very different times and we have increased communications to the community, our stakeholders, and those we serve in our effort to stay connected. As we move into the Summer months, we do so with gratitude and renewed hope for families experiencing homelessness.
We recognize that FUSION’s footprint is more critical and impactful than ever before as we prepare to open the FUSION Family Center this fall. We understand the increased toll that COVID-19 has taken on families who are experiencing employment and housing loss, trauma, behavioral health conditions and other significant barriers to self-sufficiency, and we are more committed than ever to providing innovative programs that support families in our community.
As our community begins to reopen, FUSION will continue to take an “open-table” approach to support and partner with our community organizations. These collective impact efforts will directly produce better outcomes for families in peril, and the success of our FUSION families is the real heartbeat of the organization.
In Service,
Robin O’Grady
