Robin’s Spotlight September 2020

Robin’s Spotlight March 2021

Hello Friends of FUSION,

It is hard to describe the excitement we are experiencing around our new Pete Andersen FUSION Family Center scheduled to open this fall!

Two years ago FUSION founder Peggy LaPorte and Board President Byron Hiller had a vision of hope for families experiencing homelessness in South King County. This vision was championed by Pete von Reichbauer, Frank Chopp and many others, as well as other visionaries and was supported by King County and the State of Washington.

Today, more than two years later, finishing touches are being completed at the center, furnishings are being delivered, and I get goosebumps walking down the hallways as I realize that more than 116 families — 400 individuals, many of whom will be small children — will have a safe place to lay their heads at night and begin the healing process as they work toward permanent housing, restored wellness, dignity and self-sufficiency.

The Pete Andersen FUSION Family Center will create a critical impact in the community, and we look forward to sharing the center in the coming weeks via tours for our community members, contributors, and volunteers.”

Tours will be done in small groups and all Covid safety requirements will be in place. Masks will be required in order to participate in a tour.

A virtual Ribbon Cutting event on October 8 will be livestreamed on our FUSION Facebook page.

In Service,
Robin O’Grady
