Robin’s Spotlight – COVID-19 Response

Robin’s Spotlight March 2021

Hello Friends of FUSION,

I am reaching out to let you know you and your family are in our thoughts and hearts during these unparalleled COVID-19 pandemic circumstances. While vulnerable families are losing time at work or have been laid off indefinitely and food and income insecurity are now a common thread for those most in need, these conditions are compounded exponentially for families who are experiencing homelessness.

We wanted to take a moment to thank you and let you know we have never been more grateful for your support of FUSION than we are right now. Currently, FUSION families are well and they have the security of knowing their children and housing are safe and secure with us during this stressful and turbulent time. Case management is occurring by phone and has been a lifeline to our FUSION families.

FUSION operations have continued via telecommuting, and by virtual meetings with our leadership and volunteers. The FUSION Décor Boutique has been temporarily closed and we will continue to make decisions day-to-day based on information provided by professional health officials in an effort to keep our volunteers, staff, and families safe and well.

Your support of FUSION has had a direct hand in providing the safety net we are able to provide for FUSION families and we appreciate you very much. If it was not for you and your generous contributions to FUSION, 20 families with small children and youth in their care would be out on the cold street, hopeless, and at risk of becoming ill. We thank you very much and if there is anything we can do for you during this time, please do not hesitate to ask.

We will continue to keep you apprised as things develop at FUSION.

Be safe and be well,
Robin O’Grady
FUSION, Executive Director
